- About 8000 employees in corporate headquarters
- Another 1300 employees in Barrington
- New Chairman - many changes happening
- ComEd - Nadia Chomko - Asset manager for Exelon
- LEED Initiative - evaluation of nearly all facilities.
- ComEd - Stacey Ross - Asset manager
- Responsible for LEED Platinum facility in downtown Chicago
- Publicity for the LEED initiative has been very positive
- Developing LEED assessments for all Exelon properties
- Recent Move process to be greener:
- Energy efficient lighting
- Recycled content of furniture systems
- Better utilization of floor plate
- Furniture obtained from less than 500 miles away (LEED Point)
- Blanket wrapped furniture - less cardboard
- Educational process (signage) at the facility about LEED
- Marketing of LEED program outside of the company
- Senior Management is very interested

- Responsible for property management on site
- Calamos Real Estate - Heidi DeVries,
- Responsible for HQ, retail, and mixed use complex
- Green roof installed on HQ site
- Calamos Real Estate - Paul Gallois
- Working on LEED - EB for existing facility
- New construction will probably design to LEED - Silver
- USGBC - Calamos facility was part of a tour for the Chicago chapter
- Kraft - Cortez Dixon
- Northshore facility houses about 4500 employees
- Most of IT functions outsourced - some service issues - still
working on it
- Evaluating numerous other outsource options
- Started a new "Sustainability" organization
- There was some discussion regarding space standards. Kraft has developed
a three standard program that allows for mostly box moves
- Move time is about 15 minutes
- Most of the modular space is 6X8
- Full height is 10X15 for bonus level employees
- Kraft's decision to go LEED is based on good "Corporate Citizenship"
- Spending 1% - 2% for demonstration / research
- 5% premium for LEED items but willing to spend up to a 10% premium
- Business Resumption / Pandemic Planning
- ComEd has acquired pandemic flu kits for about 10,000 employees
- Kraft - no changes since last meeting
