PURPOSE

The purpose of the Northern Illinois Facility Managers Roundtable is to develop business relationships in the facilities area where common concerns can be discussed in an open forum. The group is dedicated to share information and identify "best practices" that reduce the cost of facilities and administrative services while improving service.

STRATEGY

To be the preeminent organization of Northern Illinois area facilities management leaders we will:

  1. Meet two times a year for exchange of information. Each meeting is expected to be scheduled for approximately four hours.
  2. Participate in the annual Facility Managers Roundtable benchmarking study. This benchmarking activity will increase knowledge of facilities management "best practices" that lead to reduced costs and improved customer service.
  3. Seek opportunities to interact beyond the meeting such as purchasing / consulting synergy.
  4. Share information by presenting topics for discussion. Presentations should be approximately 15 to 20 minutes duration with time for follow up discussion.

FACILITY ISSUES DELIVERABLES

  1. Facility Managers Roundtable Benchmarking Report: Total participant report and Northern Illinois Facility Managers Roundtable regional report (a subset of the total report).
  2. Meeting scheduling, planning and coordination.
  3. Meeting minutes.
